Ailsa Quinn

Ailsa joined Dutton Gregory’s Commercial Property Team as a Partner in 2021. She specialises in all aspects of commercial property work and has a particular expertise in dealing with both commercial and residential property developments - secured lending, portfolio management, acquisitions and disposals, commercial lettings and both high street and bespoke financing.

Ailsa also advises on the property aspects of corporate and commercial restructuring and has experience in agricultural property.

After graduating with a first degree in archaeology from the University of Southampton, which included surveying underwater shipwrecks off the coast of Sweden, she completed her legal studies at the College of Law in Guildford. She then went on to work as a Paralegal in London going on to complete her training contract in 2014 before specialising in commercial property.

"Having been exposed to a wide range of different areas of law during my early career and training, I ended up following in my father’s footsteps specialising in commercial property," she explains. "I’ve always enjoyed the transactional, process-driven and supportive nature of working in such a diverse field and no two transactions are ever quite the same. You could start the day working on commercial lettings at premises at Westfield or Salesforce Tower, and finish helping clients realise the development potential of their properties."

When not making sure the properties of her clients are working at their best, Ailsa has a habit of doing the same for her own  "I do enjoy a bit of renovation," she says with a smile. "Even when I say to myself that my own projects are finished, I always manage to find something else to demolish."
