Daryl Cowan

Daryl Cowan is a Consultant employment solicitor working out of Southampton, who joined Dutton Gregory in 2024.

Daryl has over 30 years’ experience and supports clients with employment law issues (including a specialism in agricultural employment law matters).

After qualifying as a solicitor at Southampton City Council with experience in Magistrates Court, planning and public prosecution, Daryl went on to provide legal counsel to the South East Region of the National Farmer's Union, dealing with cases including land boundaries, animal attacks and, most of all, employment law.

In 2008, Daryl struck out on his own and started DC Employment Solicitors. He enjoys working in all employment law areas, including redundancy, TUPE and Tribunal work. He continues  to take cases from the farming community and has a well-respected reputation in the field of horse-racing, acting for Jockeys and trainers.

Outside of the office, Daryl enjoys football and cricket – mainly watching these days!
