With a legal career of over 30 years and holding Partnership in one of Southampton’s leading law firms, Dutton Gregory, Denise Bull has accepted the invitation to join the Trustee Board of Citizens Advice Eastleigh.

When Denise Bull heard the call from Citizens Advice Eastleigh for new Trustees to oversee and help manage their organisation at the beginning of the year, she was keen to apply for the post.

‘I have always known of the valuable work Citizens Advice carries out for local communities,’ says Denise. ‘The offices of the first law firm I ever worked for were opposite a Citizens Advice Bureau and I would often refer people in need of help and support.’

Like all members of the Citizens Advice network across England and Wales, the branch in Eastleigh provides free, confidential and impartial advice and guidance on big issues affecting people's lives.

‘Eastleigh has a wide-ranging demographic, with people wanting to talk to us about a variety of problems,’ says Chief Officer, Annabella Crawford. ‘With her legal experience and knowledge Denise will be a great asset to our Trustee Board. We are very grateful to her for stepping forward for interview and accepting the position.’

‘As well as being part of the social responsibility that both I, personally, and Dutton Gregory as a firm champion, I feel I have reached a point in my life where I can make a positive contribution to an organisation such as Citizens Advice,’ says Denise Bull.

‘I think the fallout from what has happened since March 2020 will mean that these services will be more in demand than ever.’
