Amy joined Dutton Gregory in 2017 as an Apprentice, carrying out general administration and clerical work in the Chandlers Ford office. After a year, she had so impressed the firm with her hard work and commitment, she was asked to stay as an Administrative Assistant for the fee earners in the Residential Property team, opening files, contacting clients and ensuring the completion of all necessary paperwork.
‘I felt proud that Dutton Gregory saw the potential in me,’ Amy recalls. ‘Though I studied law at college, I felt I was ready for the world of work and wanted to start my career through a practical rather than academic route.’
In 2019, Dutton Gregory’s Head of Property, Paul Sams, asked Amy to support him with his growing client base and in 2021, she was promoted to ‘Legal Assistant’ in recognition of her work with clients, drafting contracts and managing cases though exchange to completion.
