We are delighted to announce the promotion of three outstanding lawyers to Partner – an achievement that reflects not only their exceptional legal expertise, but also their commitment to the future of our firm.
Becoming a Partner in a law firm is a significant milestone. It is a recognition of professional excellence, leadership capability, and the ability to contribute strategically to the success of the business. Each of our new Partners has completed a rigorous strategic development programme, designed to stretch and test future leaders. The programme required them to demonstrate a broad range of capabilities – from creative thinking and commercial acumen, to resilience, influence, and robustness of character.
We’re delighted to say that all three of our new Partners proved themselves highly worthy of their promotion!
Meet the new Partners
Alex O’Sullivan
Alex joined us in 2022 and specialises in tax planning, trusts, and estate administration. He has a wealth of experience dealing with a wide range of private client matters, in particular high net worth estates - including those with foreign property.
Here’s what Alex’s Head of Department & Partner, Emily Taylor, had to say:
“I am delighted to see Alex being promoted to partner at Dutton Gregory Solicitors. I have worked with Alex for nearly 10 years and have watched him grow and develop into the lawyer he is today. He is a well-respected member of the team and firm.
He has a huge number of clients who continue to instruct Alex time and time again, which is testament to excellence. This is very well deserved and I am proud to see him join the partnership.”
Duncan Scott
Duncan qualified in May 1999, and joined Dutton Gregory when we merged with a Surrey law firm. He has extensive expertise in contentious employment, probate and property disputes, professional and company and shareholder disputes.
Our Partner & Head of Litigation, Andrew Witt shared the following:
“I am pleased to congratulate Duncan on his appointment as partner. Duncan joined Dutton Gregory following the merger with MTG. It was soon apparent he was an experienced litigator with a positive attitude. With this in mind, the next natural step was for Duncan to be put forward as a partner. He embraced the process and, kept me regularly informed about how he was finding the journey.
It is a testament to his hard work that Duncan has been promoted.”
Gareth Fullbrook
Gareth has acted for Residential House Builders in the South for over 22 years. During his career he has acted for some of the biggest Developers in the country, and also some smaller niche developers on specific projects. From 2017, Gareth switched to acting on the other side – for those looking to buy from developers.
In the words of Sarah Sams, Partner & Head of Residential Property:
“Gareth has an exceptional track record as a lawyer consistently meeting and exceeding targets. He nurtures his contacts ensuring that they enjoy working with him and consistently refer work to him. Gareth’s in an enviable position of having previously worked for developers, meaning that his extensive knowledge of new build properties stands him in good stead for now acting for buyers.”
This is a proud moment for the firm as we continue to grow and invest in our next generation of leaders. Please join us in congratulating our new Partners as they step into this next chapter of their careers.
