Regional heavyweight law firm Dutton Gregory are delighted to announce they won two awards at the Hampshire Law Society Legal Awards 2019.

The firm was awarded runner up for ‘Large Law Firm of the Year’ after a successful 12 months which saw the firm growth of over 30%, a new and larger Winchester office and full Lexcel Accreditations.

Winchester-based Family Associate Solicitor Jonathan Whettingsteel also won Lawyer of the Year. Joining the firm in June 2018, Jonathan excels in providing a dedicated, personable and knowledgeable service to his clients.

Both awards were presented at Hampshire Law Society’s Annual Dinner on Thursday 6th June at Hilton at the Ageas Bowl.

Jonathan said: “I’m really honoured to win this award, and wasn’t expecting it against the high calibre of other solicitors who had been nominated. It was great to also see Dutton Gregory recognised for their hard work and commitment to clients as runners up for Large Law Firm of the Year.

“I want to thank the firm for nominating me and all the support and opportunities they have given me in the twelve months since I’ve joined Dutton Gregory and can’t wait to see what the next twelve months holds for Dutton Gregory.”

Residential Property Partner Paul Sams was also nominated for Lawyer of the Year following the success and rapid growth of his department.

Initiated by the Hampshire Law Society, these awards highlight professional excellence and encourage healthy competition within the legal industry. The award is made based on reputation, experience, acumen and professionalism.
