About Paramjit
Paramjit is a Commercial Property Lawyer within our Commercial Property team, which is led by Derek Austin.
Paramjit qualified as a Barrister and Solicitor in New Zealand in 1997 before being admitted to the roll of High Court of New Zealand. On moving back to the UK, Paramjit is on the register as a Registered Foreign Lawyer, regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority.
Paramjit’s previous extensive skills and experience include:
- Residential property law
- Commercial property law
- Immigration law
- Family law
Paramjit is experienced in both contentious and non-contentious areas of these disciplines of law but concentrates on commercial property in depth now.

For Paramjit, a successful day is one in which she achieves an excellent outcome for her client, and the sense of satisfaction this brings – both for her but especially for her client.
Looking To The Future
Paramjit would like to gain more understanding of employment law: “it transcends across all groups of people, which I am extremely interested in with my previous degree in sociology, so would not be averse to know more about this area of law.”

A Historical Trial That Paramjit Would Have Liked To Have Attended
Paramjit is emphatic when asked which historical matter she would have liked to have been involved in: “it has to be the famous basis for the tort law of negligence; Donoghue v Stevenson [1932] when the snail was found in the ginger beer, especially as the incident occurred fairly locally in Paisley, Scotland!
This is certainly a case a law student never ever forgets!”
