About Melanie
Melanie qualified as a solicitor in 1990 and has specialised in personal injury and medical negligence work since 1994.
As a senior member and Team Leader of Dutton Gregory’s Medical Negligence department, Melanie has been working hard to achieve successful outcomes for her clients for over 30 years. As you would imagine, her caseload includes a broad spectrum of cases ranging from stillbirth to cerebral palsy claims resulting from injuries at birth.

Melanie enjoys complex, challenging cases and the reward of obtaining a good outcome for her clients. For example, Melanie's recent cerebral palsy case was settled for over 9 million. Melanie is acknowledged by her clients for being supportive and showing empathy, whilst remaining professional and giving good, clear advice. She believes in listening to her clients and trying to understand their needs.
Melanie is a member of Association of Personal Injury Lawyers, the AvMA Specialist Clinical Negligence Panel and was a previous committee member of The Bournemouth and District Law Society.
