About Kathryn
Having been at Dutton Gregory since January 2018, Kathryn Loveland–Blockley is an experienced member of the Wills, Trusts and Estate Planning team, where she blends empathy with technical expertise to guide clients through some of life’s most important decisions.
A Path into Law
Kathryn’s love of reading and early fascination with legal cases in the news first sparked her interest in law.
But for her, the real motivation has always been helping people through difficult personal circumstances: “going into law was about supporting others” she explains.
Rewarding Elements
The most fulfilling part of Kathryn’s role is guiding clients through the often-daunting probate process; many arrive feeling overwhelmed but leave feeling relieved knowing they will be supported every step of the way.
Beyond the Law
Outside of work, Kathryn enjoys loom knitting and preparing blankets and hats for local appeals.
Kathryn also has a unique personal story: on her 17th birthday she attended a reception at Buckingham Palace, meeting Princess Anne after being named St John Ambulance Cadet of the Year for Dorset.
Specialism & Approach
Kathryn chose to specialise in Wills, Trusts and Estate Planning because it combines her passion for helping people with her enjoyment of the technical side of the work.
“It’s a balance between people and the mathematics. I love talking with clients and hearing their life stories, but I also enjoy a good spreadsheet and the challenge of balancing estate accounts.”
This combination allows her to offer practical solutions alongside compassionate support.
Kathryn specialises in:
- Wills, Trusts, and Estate Planning
- Powers of Attorney
- Declarations of Trust
- Estate Administration
