About Jess
Jess is a Paralegal within our Property Lettings & Revenue team, which is led by Gina Peters.
Since graduating with a Law degree in 2025, Jess has developed her experience in a number of disciplines.
These include:
- Property Lettings
- Possession claims
- Damages claims
- Breach of tenancy
Why A Career In Law?
Originally drawn to law as a profession because she is driven to help people achieve justice, Jess works primarily on possession claims and relishes supporting people through the process.
For Jess, knowing that she has been by someone’s side to guide them and make things easier for them is fulfilling: “I went into law to get justice for those who need it, and help guide them towards the right path, where necessary.”
Supporting Clients
Jess supports clients with clear communication, ensuring that updates are provided in a timely manner.
“I am there for support and to answer any questions clients may have. As soon as any updates are in, our first step is to ensure the client is up to date and aware of any next steps necessary.”
Rewarding Elements
For Jess, knowing that she has assisted and supported clients who are struggling through tough times is incredibly rewarding.
Looking To The Future
Having studied EU and Human Rights law at university, and having felt naturally invested in this throughout her learning, Jess would love to explore this area of law in the future.
A Historical Trial That Jess Would Have Liked To Have Attended
Jess would love to have attended the ‘United Biscuits (UK) Ltd vs The Commissioners of Customs and Excise’ case, which discussed whether a Jaffa Cake is a cake or a biscuit.
The arguments reached as far as presenting a huge Jaffa Cake and analysing the effects of leaving it exposed to air for a period of time, with the outcome referenced as reason why it should be classified as a cake or biscuit!
