About Emma

Emma is an HR Operations Manager and joined Dutton Gregory in 2007.

Why Human Resources?

Emma joined the firm in an admin capacity, but it was a sliding doors moment that led her to entering the HR arena in 2017 – there was a vacancy in the team and Emma felt an urge to try her hand at something new, and it turned out that she had a natural ability in the field.

Future aspirations

Emma is a champion for the development for our people, so she is always mindful of creating an environment of support and empowerment so that every individual fulfils their potential.

Emma has a clear vision of evolving HR practices through time, to ensure that they stay efficient, innovative and inclusive as culture and society evolves, and is eager to drive positive change across the industry to maintain an environment that promotes dynamic workplace culture, where continuous learning, collaboration and mutual respect for one another are all valued.

Away from the world of HR

On a personal level, Emma sees herself growing alongside her professional aspirations, with a strong desire to be known for her empathy, resilience, and unwavering commitment to helping others succeed.

Balancing her career with a fulfilling personal life is important to Emma so she always aims to take time to do what makes her happy, and is keen to mentor individuals outside of her professional circle in the future.

The perfect dinner party

Emma has always held an interest in Tudor history so inviting Henry VIII to a dinner party would be fitting. Likewise, Winston Churchill would be invited for his ability to inspire people, no matter the circumstances, and he seems like he would have been fun company.

Lastly, Emma would invite her great grandfather – her mum’s stories suggest that he was interesting, kind, resilient and resourceful, so Emma wouldn’t allow the opportunity to meet him pass her by.
