About Elizabeth
Elizabeth is a Senior Associate Solicitor in our Dispute Resolution team, which is led by Andrew Witt.
Elizabeth qualified as a solicitor in 2012, which means she has spent more than a decade dealing with the many creative ways in which people can fall out over property.
As a Senior Associate in our Dispute Resolution team, she handles everything from commercial lease renewals, dilapidations and forfeiture claims to rights of way, restrictive covenants, adverse possession and boundary disputes. She also advises on TOLATA claims, party wall issues and applications to register land where the title deeds have managed to disappear at precisely the moment they are needed.
Elizabeth’s approach is refreshingly straightforward. She listens carefully, works out what the client actually wants to achieve, cuts through the noise and gives honest, frank and practical advice. This occasionally involves telling clients things they would rather not hear, but usually saves them a considerable amount of time, money and unnecessary aggravation.
As a committee member of the Property Litigation Association and of the Southampton Property Association, Elizabeth knows a great deal about property disputes and, rather more importantly, how to resolve them. She particularly enjoys securing the outcome her client wanted, preferably without everyone having to spend several years arguing about the precise location of a fence.
She joined Dutton Gregory for its progressive outlook, family values and belief that lawyers should be permitted to have a life outside the office.

The peace of mind I felt after having support from Jayna and Elizabeth felt akin to a very thorough therapy session - my experience and concerns were validated, and a number of solutions suggested.
The uncertainty surrounding any legal proceedings can be incredibly stressful, so if you find yourself in such a situation I would advise you to ‘lawyer up’ as soon as you can, preferably with knowledgeable and savvy experts such as Jayna and Elizabeth
