About Cariad
Cariad is a Senior Associate Executive within our Wills, Trusts & Estate Planning team, which is led by Emily Taylor.
Cariad holds a BA in French and Spanish and a Graduate Diploma in Law. She has completed the Legal Practice Course and the STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners) Advanced certificate in Will Preparation, while also being a Dementia Friend.
Having practised since 2015, Cariad has vast experience in a number of disciplines.
These include:
- Wills
- Lasting Powers of Attorney, both personal and business
- Enduring Powers of Attorney
- Court of Protection applications
- Probate & estate administration
- Trust advice, including declarations of trust over property
- Inheritance tax planning
- Care fee advice
Cariad has experience in preparing Wills for individuals, married and unmarried partners, business owners, tax planning Wills and Wills for people who need to provide for disabled or vulnerable beneficiaries.
Having spent time in a contentious trust & probate environment, Cariad approaches Will preparation with an awareness of potential claims against an estate and can provide suitable advice from the outset.
Why A Career In Law?
Cariad retrained as a lawyer as she wanted a career change after having a family.
“I have always been interested in private client work because I enjoy the human element, particularly the opportunity to guide clients through difficult legal concepts and help them navigate significant life events.”
Cariad has a particular passion for assisting elderly clients with her knowledge and skills.

In Cariad’s mind, her area of law is all about giving clients peace of mind.
“Whether that is assisting with mental capacity issues, guiding bereaved clients through estate administration, or preparing Wills after a detailed consideration of the client’s individual circumstances and their goals.
A successful day is one where I have presented clients with a range of options and helped them reach a fully informed decision which gives them that peace of mind.”
