About Alex

Alex is a Paralegal within our Property Lettings & Revenue team, which is led by Gina Peters.

Having graduated from the University of Portsmouth with an LLB in Law in 2024, Alex is developing his knowledge and experience in Landlord and Tenant law by specialising in possession proceedings and debt recovery for disputes between landlords and tenants.

Supporting Clients

Alex understands the importance of keeping clients updated in supporting his clients.

“It is easy to assume that something as simple as requesting a judgment is an update that a client may not wish to receive as it is not a hugely important update; however I find that providing these little material updates can give a client peace of mind in knowing that steps are being actively taken to progress their matter to the desired outcome.”

Rewarding Elements

For Alex, the most rewarding element of his role is helping people that never would have expected to be in the position they are in.

“Pursuing possession proceedings can be a really daunting thing for a landlord, especially when they have been exemplary landlords who would never have expected to be in the position they are now faced with.

Therefore, to be able to guide them through the process and ease their minds ever so slightly is really rewarding.”

Looking To The Future

Alex’s aims for the next 15 years are to become a qualified solicitor and to have established himself in his chosen area of expertise. Alex would also like to take on roles within the firm that allow him to contribute towards Dutton Gregory’s culture as it grows.

On gaining an understanding of another area of law, Alex says: “I would like to gain more knowledge of Family law. This was probably my favourite module of studying at university and therefore it would be really interesting to see how it is applied in practice to real clients.”
