William has broad experience in residential development and commercial property matters including complex agreements for lease, lease of industrial premises and multi-office estates, sales & purchases of both leasehold and freehold property and commercial financing and re-financing. His commercial work further includes the sale and purchase of businesses including hotels, fast food eateries and high street shops.
Having worked with Bournemouth solicitors for 5 years in their Commercial Property and Litigation teams he then moved to The James Hay Partnership as an in-house lawyer specialising in commercial property and SIPP matters, where he was Legal Project Lead overseeing the transfer of commercial property portfolios from two major pension providers, as well as, working day-to-day with 5000 invested properties.
Since joining Dutton Gregory, William has developed an extensive property practice working with some of the area’s largest property developers on complex property ventures and blue chip companies.
William’s residential development work covers Option Agreements, Conditional Contracts, Promotion Agreements, Joint Venture Agreements and Private Finance Lending.
William is known for his ability to cut through complex transactions quickly and effectively as well as for his practical advice to clients. His clients’ particularly like William’s fast approach to transactions and approachable presence.
William read Criminology and Forensic Science at Keele University in Staffordshire graduating with First Class honours, he returned to Bournemouth University to complete the Graduate Diploma in law before undertaking the Bar Professional Training Course (formerly the BVC) in 2012. William is a member of The Honourable Society of Lincolns Inn and was awarded the Lord Denning Scholarship from his Inn of Court.
