A Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives since 1990, in 2000 Nick qualified as one of the first ever Legal Executive Advocates and in March 2009 was the first Legal Executive to become a partner in a solicitors' practice.
Nick maintains a specialist practice in harassment, occupational stress and related employment claims, especially for the targets of bullying and discrimination. He acted for the claimants in both the seminal harassment case of Majrowski v Guy's and St Thomas's NHS Trust and also in the case involving the largest ever Employment Tribunal award of over £4.5 million. He also handles a variety of property related work particularly in the field of Landlord & Tenant.
Nick is a Council Member and, for the year July 2012 to 2013, was President, of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives. He is Chair of the Trustees of the South West Legal Support Trust and the CILEx Pro Bono Trust, a Trustee of the Bar Pro Bono Unit and serves on the Committee of the Bournemouth & District CILEx Branch.
