Mariam Luqman

Mariam Luqman is a Solicitor in our Woking office, who joined Dutton Gregory in April 2022.

Mariam has over 8 years’ pre and post-qualification experience in residential and commercial property. Mariam supports a variety of clients (including pension trusts) with a range of commercial and some residential property matters – lettings, acquisitions and disposals, secured lending and portfolio management.

Mariam knew she wanted to be a lawyer when she was 8 years old, although she would have initially wanted to practice in a different area of law and be more akin to the lawyers you see in legal dramas on TV. Things have changed! She completed her law degree in London and Legal Practice Course in Guildford whilst working as a paralegal and completing her formal training at a firm in London dealing with an array of commercial and residential property, landlord & tenant and other corporate commercial matters. Prior to this, she worked as a Legal Assistant for a boutique law firm on the West End specialising in commercial property, corporate & commercial, family, criminal and immigration matters. She formally qualified as a Chartered Legal Executive in August 2021 and was admitted to the roll of solicitors in January 2023.

Outside of work, she is often found with her nose buried in a book. She enjoys most things history related, going to gigs, museums and galleries, doing all manner of DIY (despite not being very good at it), long drives in the countryside and visiting new places.
