The ‘How to Rent’ Guide has been part of the information that must be given to a tenant before a valid Section 21 Notice can be served on an English AST. The requirement is to serve the How to Rent guide that was in force at the time, but the government has not created a comprehensive list of the documents nor the dates on which they came into force or were replaced.
