Pippa Latimer-Harris is the owner, founder and brains behind the concept of Latimer House in Christchurch.
Pippa found an almost derelict 3 storey building and, using anything she could get her hands on, turned it into a successful Downton Abbey style department store - Latimer House was born! She has transformed the look and feel of the place with beautifully painted furniture and lots of local artisans work, which she sells on their behalf.
At the weekends Pippa employs a pianist to play for the customers, whilst they enjoy a coffee and a browse around the shop.
Dutton Gregory chose Pippa as their winner as through sheer grit and determination she has turned an unused space into a thriving local business, encouraging local artists to sell their work through her shop and entertaining the community at the weekend with a coffee and a sing-song!
