Carol is a partner in the firm and head of our Clinical Negligence Department with over 20 years of experience. She is also a member of the AvMA (Action Against Medical Accidents) panel, the Headway solicitors panel and the Law Society Clinical Negligence panel and was the first solicitor in Dorset to obtain a legal aid franchise to undertake clinical negligence work.
Carol deals with high value, complex cases including birth injuries, head injuries, amputations, spinal injuries and other catastrophic injuries.
Prior to qualifying as a clinical negligence solicitor, Carol was a cardiac technician. This medical background and experience in both the NHS and private sector has helped her to better understand the complexities of putting together a successful clinical negligence claim. She has successfully settled several multi-million pound claims including a cerebral palsy case which settled for £8.9 million. From April 2016 - April 2017 Carol was also the President of the Bournemouth & District Law Society.
