Dutton Gregory wins Hampshire County Council award for supporting employees

Dutton Gregory is delighted to have been awarded the Don Allen award in recognition of supporting employees who are school governors in Hampshire.

Andrew Tilley, Chairman attended the Hampshire County Council, Investor in Education Awards on Monday 1 February alongside Gina Peters. The award was presented by Councillor Peter Edgar, Executive Member for Education.

Gina is a Senior Associate Solicitor at Dutton Gregory and has been a school governor at Fair Oak Junior School for 11 years. Gina said “I have been a school governor for nearly 12 years. Dutton Gregory has always recognised the value in the connections that can be made through my involvement, the transferable skills that are enhanced by the various meetings, and the strategic thinking that has to be implemented about a range of school business as a governor. I have even been privy enough to get involved with the 2 day selection process for 2 different school head teachers and on each occasion Dutton Gregory have willingly provided me with a 'training' day out of the office with me taking the other one as annual leave. It is one of the best and most important roles that a school governor can take on so I was most thankful for Dutton Gregory's support on each occasion”.
