Andrew Tilley

Andrew Tilley
Andrew qualified with first class honours in 1984 and specialised in commercial litigation and then insurance law in London. In 1992 Andrew moved out of the City and became a partner with Dutton Gregory in 1995. Covering all aspects of commercial litigation he specialises in non-marine insurance, construction and professional negligence claims, covering litigation, arbitration and Alternative Dispute Resolution. The firm is a member of CEDR. Andrew is a member of the Forum of Insurance Lawyers and is head of the Commercial Litigation Department. 

   
 

Stephen Alexandre
On graduating from London University Stephen originally qualified as a Barrister and , following pupillage worked for Central Government dealing with tax frauds. He then requalified as a Solicitor and moved into private practice. He specialises in civil litigation particularly commercial disputes involving directors and shareholders. He is a consultant at Dutton Gregory which he combines with sitting as a Deputy District Judge on the Western Circuit.

 

 

Jason Oliver

Jason Oliver
Jason is a litigator who has been with Dutton Gregory since 1997. His practice encompasses most aspects of civil litigation apart from personal injury. He undertakes a good deal of construction related work and represents clients in mediations, adjudications and arbitrations as well as court proceedings. He acted for the successful claimant in Rupert Morgan Building Services (LLC) Limited v Jervis [2003] EWCA Civ 1563 from drafting the original county court claim until its eventual determination in the Court of Appeal. He also acts in contentious probate and related matters, advising and representing clients in actions involving disputed wills, proprietary estoppel claims, Inheritance Act claims and disputes relating to breaches of duty by executors and trustees. He undertakes commercial litigation for a range of business and insurance clients, and has extensive experience of insolvency related matters in both the corporate and personal spheres.

 

 

Pat Noyce 

Pat Noyce
Pat is a Legal Executive with more than 30 years experience in civil litigation. She works in our Commercial Litigation and Dispute Resolution Department and specialises in all aspects of insurance litigation and general commercial litigation, including debt recovery for clients. She has also undertaken a number of local authority prosecutions. Pat previously worked for a local authority in Hampshire for 17 years and then moved to a large City firm in London. She returned to Winchester in 1990, working for another firm locally before joining Dutton Gregory in 1998.

 

 

Amarjit Singh 

Amarjit Singh
Amarjit is an assistant solicitor in the commercial litigation and dispute resolution team at Dutton Gregory LLP (Southampton Office). He graduated from the University of Southampton in 2003 with a BSc in politics and law and completed his Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in Guildford. He trained with Dutton Gregory and qualified as a solicitor in 2006. Amarjit specialises in commercial litigation and advises on a range of issues to include contractual disputes, professional negligence claims, insurance litigation and debt recovery. He adopts a practical and commercially aware approach to his work. Outside of work, Amarjit is active in his local community and works with individuals and groups from various cultural and ethnic backgrounds. He has a particular interest in promoting equality, diversity and social cohesion.

 

 

Maria Curtin 

Maria Curtin
Maria graduated from Exeter University in 2005 with a BA in Spanish and Italian and went on to complete the Graduate Diploma in Law and Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in Guildford and London. She worked as a paralegal in the Dispute Resolution department at a London firm before starting her training contract with a firm in Basingstoke.  Maria qualified as a solicitor in 2010 and joined the litigation department as an assistant solicitor in August 2010.  Maria specialises in general litigation including insurance disputes, contract disputes and debt recovery.  Out of work, her interests include running, tennis, music and travelling. 

 

 

Louise Hewitt 

Louise Hewitt
Louise joined our Commercial Litigation and Dispute Resolution Department in August 2010 as a Paralegal. She assists the team with insurance disputes, contract disputes and debt recovery. Having already obtained the ILEX Level 3 Professional Diploma in Law & Practice, she is currently working towards the ILEX Level 6 Higher Diploma in Law & Practice (focusing on Contract & Civil Litigation) with a view to qualifying as a Legal Executive. In her spare time, Louise enjoys walking in the New Forest and eating out.
